The Hit snags a festival slot at SOCAL independent film festival

July 30th, 2008

The first fest I picked is also the first it was accepted by. I don’t know a lot about the is fest other then it is close to home and has a cool name. I’m hoping for the best as I have only been to one before this and that was just to help out. I will keep a posting letting you know what’s up. Here is a trailer for “The Hit”. It was a little harder then I expected because I little time and cutting a trailer for a short is tough since there isn’t that much material to begin with and you don’t want to reveal everything. Enjoy

Sent “Death Rides Shotgun” to “your-insider.com”

July 10th, 2008

Well I just finished a rewrite on the first draft yesterday and I’ve already found a new place to try it out on, www.your-insider.com. I read about it in the new “Creative Screenwriting” magazine I picked up at Borders last night.

Why did I choose to spend $77(it’s actually $87 up from $57 at premiere but if you mention “creative screenwriting” you get a ten dollar discount.) on this new outlet? First if he likes the script, he’ll try to front it through his connections. Yeah, we’ve all heard this, but there has got to be some people who can do this right? Or else we’d all walk around with negative thoughts and not show or promote our scripts. What I really like though is he said he will give notes depending on what the script needs. If it needs 2 pages or if it needs 10 pages it will receive it. I will keep you posted and look forward to reviewing this new service.

Shooting this holiday season

November 16th, 2007

Marauding Films is seeking an ambitious hardworking individual to assist us in pre-production with our latest project, “The One Percenters”. A pilot about an aging ex-con who desires to start his biker gang again and re-live the glory days…

You will help with casting, location prep and shooting. Gig should last about 3 weeks with an actual shooting schedule of 1 week. You’ll be joining an experienced, determined production team as we build and market a series from the ground up.

This is a pilot and pay will be deferred. The Adventure starts immediately as we plan to have this in the can by Christmas.
